win the battle in sports and in life - One way!

WELCOME TO DG SPORTS
The heart and core of our organization is to equip athletes to reach their fullest potential as an athlete and to encourage and cultivate character development both on and off the court or field. Our coaching staff seeks to develop character qualities such as respect, responsibility, integrity, teamwork, and perseverance in each one of our athletes.

WARRIORS 14N BROOKE LARGENT WINS 2ND PLACE IN ALL OHIO PTA REFLECTIONS CONTEST!
Congratulations to our own DG Warriors 14 National player Brooke Largent (Olmsted Falls) whose essay "Tics, Troubles, and Triumphs" recently was awarded 2nd place in the entire state of Ohio for the 2021-22 PTA Reflections Contest.
This year's theme was "I Will Change the World By..." and Brooke's essay was a poignant and honest reflection on her battle living with Tourette Syndrome. Brooke, who has lived with Tourette's and ADHD since childhood, has never either of those obstacles hold her back.
In addition to volleyball, Brooke also participates in basketball, softball, and is a member of the OFMS Robotics team. She has appeared in two movies, plays multiple musical instruments (many of which she has taught herself), and enjoys art.
Brooke's essay was selected from hundreds of submissions from school districts across the state. For more on the PTA Reflections Contest, click this link.

We are heartbroken to share that our dear friend, Coach, Director of Girls Basketball, & Brother in Christ, Freeman Blade, passed away September 22, 2021.
Freeman was an elite basketball player in his day and used that gift to do what he cared about most, loving others by imparting life lessons into kids and adults of all ages through basketball training. - DG Warriors Family

"I was cut from my middle school team. I've missed over 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games and 26 times I've been trusted to take the game-winning shot...and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed." - Michael Jordan

Tabling Achieng lives with her sickly mother in the Korogocho slum. Her father died when she was young. When Tabling realized that her mother could not afford to send her to high school she fell into deep despair, even considering taking her own life. During Sunday Porridge she shared her fears with a team member.
