An accomplished basketball coach for over 20 years developing the skills, fitness, and character of young athletes, Coach Joan Gallagher consistently motivates and inspires players to bring their best game and 

JOAN GALLAGHER

fosters an atmosphere of trust, honesty,
and respect to create a winning culture.

Joan has overseen two undefeated seasons, many district and regional championships, and a 9th place finish at nationals. She helped develop four college division one players as well as multiple scholarship offers for her players. Joan received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Capella University.

Coach Macon started coaching in 1993 at Tri-C Community College and one of his players was current NBA player Ben Wallace. He joined the DG Warriors family in 2009 as a coach.

I have a true passion for the game of basketball and love to work with kids of all ages. The game has evolved over the years but the philosophy has remained the same. It is built on fundamentals and being brilliant at the basics. As a coach I stress fundamentals, commitment and sportsmanship.

EMMITT MOSELY

Coach Ron Estes Jr. has coached youth basketball, football, soccer and volleyball. He is the current Director of Youth Basketball Streetsboro and was the Head Coach there from 2015-2019. 

RON ESTES JR.

Ron also served as Head Coach at
Summit Christian School coaching 7th
and 8th boys from 2014-2015.

 

Ron is married to Shannon and has two kids and works as a safe technician. He has been the family pastor at West 58th St. Church of God in Cleveland, OH for four years. Prior to that, Ron served as a youth/children’s pastor for 14 years in the area and has been a licensed minister in the Church of God for 18 yrs.

JORDYN PECK

  • Enters her senior season having
    scored 1,208 points, which ranks 16th
    on the Seahawk all-time scoring list

  • Sixth in school history in three-point field goals made (162)

  • T-9th in school history in free throws made (260)

Known for the deep range on her jump shot, Peck averaged a robust 20.4 points per game as a senior in 2011-12 and is Shaker Heights’ all-time leading scorer. As a senior, she led Shaker Heights to a 15-8 record and a 10-2 division mark in helping the Raiders make their fourth consecutive appearance in the district final. Over the last three seasons, Peck was the catalyst in Shaker Heights compiling a 44-25 record, a Lake Erie League championship and three Division I district runner-up finishes.

​

In the OHSAA Division I District Semifinals last season, Peck tallied 14 of her game-high 26 points in the final 16 minutes in leading the Raiders to a come-from-behind win over rival Cleveland Heights. Peck’s night was highlighted by a three-pointer that gave the Raiders the lead for good. She topped the 1,000-point mark vs. Euclid HS on Jan. 25 and, following the season, she was named to the 2011-12 Division I Associated Special Mention All-Ohio Team following her senior season. She also earned First-Team All-Northeast Ohio Coaches Association and First-Team All-Lake Erie honors. In April, Peck participated in the prestigious 19th Annual Greater Cleveland Basketball Coaches Association Girls All-Star game.

RYAN PARKS

Coach Parks has been a head coach ages 7-14 for local AAU and Streetsboro's basketball program for several years.  He also has numerous years of experience on both the high school and collegiate level. This season will be his third year as an AAU basketball coach for the DG Warrior organization.

Coach Parks was born and raised in Cleveland, OH where he played high school basketball and Football. He went on to play Division II basketball for Cuyahoga Community College as well as for the University of Toledo. Coach Parks has a passion for coaching youth sports and instilling a love for the game and a focus on fundamentals in his players while maintaining a competitive yet fun environment.

As a player Ron was a three year letterman at Lutheran East. He was the winner of the Travis Air Force Base One on One Competition, and was selected as a walk-on to the Cleveland State Men’s Basketball team, and earned the Euclid Church League Christian Athlete Award.

RONALD CALHOUN

​

As a member of the United States Air force Ron was the head coach from 1974-1976 for the Travis Air Force Base Hawks. Over the next several years Ron held the head coaching position at St. John South Euclid Middle School, Lutheran High School East, Cornerstone Christian Academy, and was Freshmen Coach at Lakewood High School. Under his coaching tutelage, his teams have been blessed with numerous awards: Northern California Martin Luther King Tournament Runner-up; Lutheran Middle School All-Ohio Championship; East Suburban Conference Coach of the Year; O.H.S.A.A. District Championship; and O.H.S.A.A. Regional Runner-up.

​

Coach Calhoun loves to share his knowledge and experience to players who dream big and work hard. His ultimate goal is to produce a high level of skills in basketball coincided with a high quality, productive member of our community.
